Biography - Mike Richardson

Focused on streamlining the workflow on large scale projects through the use of BIM. Developed from over 15 years of varied project experience in architectural practice as a Senior Technologist, with lead roles at the delivery phase of large projects complemented by a career history in all aspects of the design process from concept to completion.

Following on from an exemplary academic career which secured a First Class Honours Degree and an award for highest achieving student of the year. Early projects included carrying out ongoing works to conserve Norwich Cathedral and renovation work to Grade 1 listed Robert Adam townhouses, leading to interesting commissions including a complex project to provide modern commercial units with retained facades over rail infrastructure.

More recently extensive work on large New Build PFI projects within Health, Education projects through the Learning and Skills Council framework and an array of Aviation and Rail projects in the UK and abroad, has led to a focus on the management of new design technology tools and the standardization of output to help deliver an efficient BIM solution.
